This passage resounded with me as I finished reading Our Bible.
Every heart is a pantheon: idol stands by the side of idol, and in each heart is an altar on which is inscribed, “To an unknown God.” The idols, pride, ambition, lust, stand side by side. These must be thrown down.
Father, I pray that the idols residing within my heart would be thrown down by the power of Jesus. Amen.
