Awwwww man…Luther’s was the first German Bible I ever read! We had a Bible study at our American church in Germany…We did the whole thing, I think about six weeks…in German, even though none of the attendees were German…it was really fun though and really help with reading Deutsch…even if we were not so good at speaking…*: )
Wow! I took 4 years of German in junior high / high school, but I’ve never read the whole Bible in German. That’s quite an accomplishment.
The best part of reading in a language not your own…you really have to think! I found myself questioning what I was reading as in…does it really say that…Needless to say, I was really surprised many times…*: )
