Book Review: Called to the Ministry by Edmund P. Clowney

This work by the late Edmund P. Clowney is very brief at only 90 pages.  Although it’s small in size, it’s overflowing with useful content.  This is a book I wish I would have read 5-10 years ago.  I would definitely label this book as a must read for anybody who is considering going into full-time  pastoral work / ministry.  Edmund does a great job exploring what it means to truly have a calling.  He also asks the reader to consider some difficult questions that should be asked of anybody aspiring to the ministry.  I sincerely think this book should be a part of every seminary’s curriculum.  It is available from Amazon, Westminster Bookstore,  and many other retailers.
