I’ll start things out by answering the question. I’ve read nearly every book written by Paul L. Maier. As for my favorite, it’s a tie between A Skeleton in God’s Closet and Pontius Pilate.

Charles, I’m a big fan of Dr. Maier’s work on Eusebius as well. Definitely some of his best scholarly contributions in my opinion.

Jason that’s so sad. Dr. Maier is an excellent writer. You can pick up A Skeleton in God’s Closet and More than a Skeleton pretty cheap via Amazon or half.com.

Mark,
If you’re one of the lucky winners, I think you’ll find Dr. Maier’s writing style to be very engaging and enjoyable. Good luck!

Jason,
I have to say that A Skeleton in God’s Closet is one of my all time favorites. I’ve read it 5 or 6 times.

Jim,

All of Dr. Maier’s children’s books from Concordia Publishing House are quite good. My personal favorite is “Martin Luther: A Man Who Changed the World”

I like the The Very First Christmas – I loved reading Christmas stories to my kids before they could read and the artwork is very nice

The Very First Christmas is a wonderful book. Of Dr. Maier’s children’s books, this is the one most are familiar with.
