If you’ve only become aware of gospel rap music in the past couple of years, you may not have even realized that Timothy Brindle has been “missing.” Many of us Christian rap fans were quite taken with Timothy’s lyrical theology on his debut album The Great Awakening and the follow up album Killing Sin. Both of these albums have permanent spots on my iPhone. Tim’s lyrics speak to so many of the things I have struggled through in this journey called life. If you’re not yet familiar with Timothy’s earlier work, you should give it a listen.
Timothy’s latest project is called The Restoration. This album may have one of the longest subtitles ever as the full name of the album is The Restoration: The All-Sufficiency of Christ in the Gospel of Grace to Restore Ruined Sinners to Himself for their Joy and His Glory. The Restoration has been nearly seven years in the “making.” If you want to learn about the work the Lord has been doing with Timothy these past seven years, listen to this recent interview at thechristianmanifesto.com. You’ll appreciate the album even more when you have some perspective on everything that’s behind it. The new album as well as the instrumental tracks are available via iTunes and elsewhere. Head on over to your favorite music retailer and order or download a copy of the album today and support Timothy’s emergence back on to the Christian rap scene. Congratulations to Timothy on the release of the new album. I pray that the music and his testimony of restoration will draw many to the Lord!
