In this episode of the Author Talks with Shaun Tabatt podcast, I interview Michael Williams about his book The Prophet and His Message: Reading Old Testament Prophecy Today (P&R Publishing, 2003).
About the Book:
“Of all the characters in the Old Testament, the prophets are probably the most unusual and the most mysterious,” writes Michael Williams. Often we get lost in their writings and don’t know how to read or apply them.
If you have wanted help in understanding the role of the prophets and the meaning of their writings, you can find that help here. Williams shows how the prophetic books fit into the whole Old Testament, how they relate to the New Testament, and how they are relevant to believers today.
About the Author:
Michael Williams (PhD, University of Pennsylvania) is Professor of Old Testament at Calvin Theological Seminary and a member of the NIV Committee on Bible Translation. His passion is to equip students with knowledge of the Old Testament and its languages so that they may grow in their comprehension and appreciation of redemptive history and be adequately prepared to promote and defend the faith through word and action. Michael resides in Grand Rapids, MI, with his wife, Dawn.
