Who’s going to TGC 2011 next week?

Posted by Shaun Tabatt  Published in Events

I’m curious if any of my fellow biblio-bloggers are heading to TGC 2011 next week in Chicago.  Easiest places to find me would be at the Christian Focus Publications table in the book area or Band of Bloggers on Tuesday night.

What to bring to The Gospel Coalition 2011 in Chicago…

Posted by Shaun Tabatt  Published in Events

TGC 2011 is almost upon us and I’m pondering what I should be bringing with me to the conference.  Here are some of the things I’ll be packing:

  1. Large backpack to hold all of the books I procure.
  2. Extra backpack to hold all of the books they’re giving to band of bloggers attendees (LINK).  Wow!
  3. Insulated mug, so I can keep up with my coffee habit
  4. Business cards to share with new acquaintances
  5. Camera for pictures of the events and for pictures with old and new friends.
  6. Bible & Notebook
  7. Laptop
  8. Books to be autographed.  I heard from a friend at Zondervan that Tim Challies and Michael Horton will both have book signings on Wednesday.
  9. Some extra snacks, so I don’t go broke buying food at McCormick place.
  10. Comfortable shoes.  I’ll be doing a lot of walking.

Sorry if my list is rather practical.  Anybody else bringing anything weird or unique?
