New Sponsor This Month: Moody Publishers

Posted by Shaun Tabatt  Published in Beacon Ad Network, Moody Publishers

Many thanks to Moody Publishers for purchasing ad space on Bible Geek Gone Wild this month through Beacon Ad Network.  The book they’re promoting in the sidebar is Marriage Matters by Tony Evans.  Here is a description of the book from their web site:

Marriages today are deteriorating at an alarming rate. As of 2003, 43.7% of custodial mothers and 56.2% of custodial fathers were either separated or divorced (US Census Bureau). One might ask, “Why do so many marriages fail?” According to pastor and teacher Tony Evans, marriages deteriorate not because we no longer get along, but because we have lost sight of the purpose and prosperity of the marriage covenant.

Marriage Matters examines the nature of this covenant, or agreement, we enter into on our wedding day. This booklet provides the foundation for the booklets For Married Women Only and For Married Men Only, as Evans looks to the Scriptures to define what a covenant is, who makes it, and what the implications are. Chaos arises when we seek to do things our way–the need to align ourselves according to biblical standards of marriage is evident. Let the practical and engaging Tony Evans lead you in knowing just how much…Marriage Matters.

Marriage Matters is available directly from Moody Publishers, Amazon.com and elsewhere.

Moody Publishers + Twitter Made Me a Winner

Posted by Shaun Tabatt  Published in Books, Moody Publishers

Do you tweet?  I tend to get mixed responses from people about using Twitter.  Personally, I like using Twitter.  When you don’t have quite enough time to put together a traditional blog post, Twitter is a good second option.  I follow many publishers and authors on twitter.  One of the publishers I recently began following is Moody Publishers, specifically Moody Fiction.  You too can follow them on Twitter @ www.twitter.com/MoodyFiction.  In honor of their newly established presence on Twitter, they held a contest.  As good fortune would have it, I was the winner.  They were kind enough to send along two of their new fiction titles as a prize.  (see below)  Many thanks to the kind folks at Moody Press for making me a winner.

Zondervan & Moody Publishers made me a Winner!

Posted by Shaun Tabatt  Published in Blog Tour, Moody Publishers, Zondervan

I was excited to find a copy of Latayne C. Scott’s Latter-Day Cipher in my mailbox over the weekend.  I won this copy as a part of the Latayne C. Scott blog tour sponsored by Zondervan and Moody Publishers last month to promote Latayne’s most recent books:  The Mormon Mirage (Zondervan, 2009) & Latter-Day Cipher (Moody Publishers, 2009).  My review of The Mormon Mirage can be found here:  LINK.  Both of these titles are readily available from Amazon.com and other retailers.

Latayne C. Scott is the author of fifteen books in addition to other poems and articles.  She lives in New Mexico with her husband Dan.  They have two married children.  You can learn more about Latayne’s writing and speaking at www.latayne.com and www.representationalresources.com.
