If based on the headline, you were hoping that Kirk Cameron has replaced Nicholas Cage in National Treasure 3, I am sorry to disappoint you. However, I did want to let you know about a new documentary film featuring Kirk Cameron. Here’s a bit of what Kirk had to say in a recent press release for Monumental: In Search of America’s National Treasure.

“Over the past year-and-a-half I’ve traveled across the U.S. and Europe to discover the true national treasure of America. I wanted to find out who the people were that built this country – the heroic men and women who sacrificed everything to be free and give their children and their grandchildren freedom and prosperity. What I found is simply amazing.”

On March 27, 2012, the film will premier in 550 plus major movie theaters across the country at a special one-night event. We finally got babysitting lined up so we can go see Fireproof.  My friends have all had good things to say about it, so I’m expecting I’ll enjoy it as well.  You can visit the web site for the movie here:  LINK.

I had the opportunity to sit down with my wife last weekend and watch Pamela’s Prayer.  This movie was released back in 1998 by Dave Christiano Films.  The movie tells the story of Pamela Bucklin from her birth to her wedding day.  Her father has set a high standard of purity for her and will not allow her to date.  Much of the story centers around the peer pressure she feels to date in high school.  The movie ends with her realizing on her wedding day, just how important her father’s care and protection was for her.  This is a must see for Christian parents who are unsure where they should stand on the whole issue of dating.  I’m confident many of us wish our parents had placed more boundaries and had set higher standards for us in this potentially dangerous area.  I challenge each of you to raise the bar and set a Godly standard for your children on this issue.  You can purchase this film for a great price directly from www.christianfilms.com.
